Southern Fried Chicken Batter
Ingredients:
– 2 beaten eggs
– 1 cup milk
– 2 teaspoons paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
– 4 teaspoons garlic salt
– 2 teaspoons black pepper
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the beaten eggs and milk until well combined.
2. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, paprika, poultry seasoning, garlic salt, and black pepper.
3. Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, then coat it thoroughly in the seasoned flour mixture.
4. Repeat the process for a double coating, dipping the chicken back into the egg mixture and then into the flour mixture again.
5. Fry the chicken in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes per side depending on the thickness of the chicken pieces.
