Cheesy Loaded Meaetloaf Casserol


Ingredients:

3 cups mashed potatoes
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ cup finely chopped white onion
1 large egg
1/3 cup crumbled cooked bacon or “Bacon Bits”
3 minced garlic cloves
1 pound lean ground beef
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
1½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
Mix the beef with the garlic, onion, and Worcestershire sauce with your hands or a couple of forks.
Add salt and black pepper, then mix in the egg and breadcrumbs.
Press the mixture into an 8-inch square baking pan.

Spread the mashed potatoes on top.
Sprinkle the cheese and bacon on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve hot.
